Thea Iberall

Thea Iberall is a writer and storyteller who has been called ‘a shimmering bridge between heart and mind.’ The author of three scientific textbooks, a poetry book, and seven produced plays and musicals, her ecofeminist novel, The Swallow and the Nightingale, is about a 4,000-year-old secret brought through time by the birds. Thea is the playwright of We Did It For You! Women’s Journey Through History, a musical that tells the story of how women got their rights in America.
She has a Ph.D. in Computational Neuroscience (UMass) and a Master’s Degree in Professional Writing from USC. An inductee into the International Educators Hall of Fame, Thea has taught courses at Rainbow since 2015 and has been a board member since 2016. She does volunteer work with interfaith organizations to address the climate crisis.
